So many years ago, just like you are now I was looking for that certain “thing” to help me learn how to trade– the “Holy Grail” as they call it. And probably like you I was feeling frustrated and confused, frustrated that I just was not getting it, angry because I just needed some guidance – not another course or videos or book telling me about support and resistance, candlestick patterns and the usual “education material” that was being taught to retail traders.
Whilst we are all different and have specific goals that are prevalent to our situation there are similarities and notwithstanding the context, we are all looking for the same thing – to be a successful Forex Trader to help us achieve our financial goals for ourselves and our families.
This is my story- a story of how I began my journey filled with hope and dreams and overcoming failure after failure.
My hope is that it resonates with you and Inspires you to push forward and persevere towards what it is you genuinely want in life.
Before I tell you how I got into Forex Trading let me first tell you what I am not.
I have never worked professionally as a Currency trader in a Bank or otherwise I am not a certified in any country to do so. I also not a certified financial advisor.\
I am by profession a chef in fact I still am I still have a Job as Chef Manager in a restaurant inside a private International school.
I also teach Introductory to Forex Trading as an elective to a certified diploma program in International Trade.
I am an active Forex Trader and I also coach and mentor private clients.
With my family as well I am a busy person which having my SFT Methodology for my trading has been a blessing although to be honest this is not why I created the methodology in the first place it is just an added bonus I do not need to stare at charts all day to look for trades (Although for me I actually thoroughly enjoy analyzing charts!!)
So how did I get into Forex Trading – Well my story is probably much like yours I had a career job paying above average income but I always wanted to earn extra on the side to create something that would be a source of income for many years and later after I was gone to leave to my 3 kids.
After venturing online with MLMs, information websites and then affiliate marketing, in late 2007 I came across Forex Trading through an affiliate offer I was promoting.
I was instantly hooked – I finally found something that I do not have to sell anything to anybody or recruit anyone for me to make an income in my business. I just had to learn this skill of trading currencies.
Sounded easy right? -was I in for a shock LOL!
So, for the next few years I spent time and money on education – eBooks, mini courses, and a 5-day live workshop event.
